day 9- lots of kicking chicks....one blood ring in a very porous egg thats hard to see into, but the chick is moving, bit small but still fighting. Anyone had a blood ring go on to hatch?

Oh no I'm sorry to hear that, Ruby, I can relate almost all of my Buttercup eggs arrived detached. I would suggest keeping them right end up for a week or so barely tilting them. And then turn them q bit more for the next few days and recheck to see if their air cells have reattached. But I'm by no means an expert on detached air cells.
My silkie mix eggs are in lock-down right now. I'm so excited!
Lol I can relate. This hatch has been rough for me so I know what you mean. Good luck Ruby. Lockdown for a couple of my eggs is tomorrow or the next day and then more in 4 more days but I know I'll be lucky to get 8 chicks out of the two dozen eggs the breeder sent me and three were broken on arrival.
I got my eggs. I'm just disappointed. I don't know if it's the way the breeder packs the eggs but the air cells are detached again! I've done quite a few batches of shipped eggs and I've never had completely detached air cells before. It's almost more disappointing to try to hatch something that's very close to near impossible to hatch! I don't even know what else to say at this point. Two are cracked. I just feel
