Are you saying you have been incubating for 10 days, and asking if its infected?
If so, its really hard to tell much from that picture. What makes you think its infected?

Yes, I've been incubating for ten days. It's very hard to see through when candling and the shell is much darker. I'm not sure because it's my first time incubating. And sorry I wasn't very clear about every thing

No problem! It is very dark. Usually at 10 days, I would expect to see more "clear" looking fluid, and lots of blood vessels, and some solid body. Could you maybe try a brighter light?
I'll see if I can find a pic of one of my duck eggs at day 10 or so.

That's a picture of all the eggs. It's at the top with a 1 one it. It also seems to have a small crack in it.

Oh! I see what you mean. Its definitely darker. Did you smell it?? What kind of ducks? I was thinking maybe dark feathers, but by day 10, they aren't really feathering much. I think I would be concerned about that one too. Give it a good sniff. If the crack is small, you can try a wax candle to fill it. If its oozing or you think it will ooze eventually, I'm sorry, but I'd toss it.

Their Perkins and my incubator does seem to have a weird smell

I went outside to throw it away and it was definitely rotten! It was my only egg to develop. My drake passed soon after I started incubating so I'll have to buy fertilized eggs:(

Oh bummer! So those other 5 are clear? I'm sorry. :hugs
Yeah their clear. But I did put one chicken egg in there to see if the incubator was working because drake had been acting kinda weird when I bought him so I wasn't sure if he was fertilizing or not . It's been in there as long as the duck eggs. It's developing fine though. At least I'll have one baby:)
