Silver Wyandotte or Austrolop

They were born July 8, I'll check it's feet tonight. Are the Red Sex Links good layers? Soon as it dries up down here and it cools down, I am going to order 50 more of the hatch specials. rg's

Red Sex Links are egg laying machines. Along with Black Sex Links, they are the best brown egg layers in the world, consistently churning out more than 300 large, brown eggs per hen per year.

I hope so, **** coyotes came in and got about 10 chickens, my Silver and about 5 red sex links and a couple of leghorns. That won't happen again, I put motion sensors up and got another form of defense. Thnx for the reply.

You're welcome. I'm sorry for the loss of your chickens. It's always sad to lose some of our flock. Good luck with your new defense system.)

I'm so sorry that happened. Coyotes are awful out here. They run in packs. I love your defense system! The sheep herders out here use burros extensively as flock guardians. Story: A friend was cart training a donkey when a Pit Bull attacked it. The donkey grabbed the dog with it's teeth and stomped it with it's knees! The dog was severely injured and did not survive. I sure hope that and the lights do the trick for you!

Thanks, I have a pit and she herds the girls, then again she is almost 16--her mean days are long ago. I have sensors as well as lights, plus they have to pen up at night now--ain't losing any more chickens.
