This thread is for people who plan on keeping roosters.

It is best to raise roosters as chicks and let them grow together,or have one younger one,and have one older one,but they must be no older then maybe a month, this way one can raise the other more as a son.

Cockerals (Teen roosters),will fight for their place, but they do reach a certain age where it's more about the hens, other then who will be boss.

to be edited.

I have a serama roo with standard hens whos top roo. That is until my blrw takes over. Plus i have a glw roo might sell him though.

I have multiple roosters, 10 adults and 5 young ones, as long as the roosters come in as young chicks they are part of the flock, as they become sexually mature the older roosters will attempt to keep them on the outskirts unless the top rooster needs male allies, than he will allow some of the younger to tend to some hens, usually the ones that are the same age as the younger rooster. The ones not allowed in the flock will spend their days trying to find a way in.

Most fights are among hatch mates, but occasionally a young one will challenge the older ones. Fighting goes on until one gives up. When the oldest rooster dies the ones below him take over.
