I somehow missed this post. I'm going to respond to it here, but all of you who are following this, please let me know if I should move this to another thread. I don't want to hijack the OP's thread.
The wheezing seems to me to be getting worse, but the hubby isn't sure about that. Last night, she was doing a lot of the open mouth panting that you can see with respiratory issues but also with a variety of other things that are benign. Scott said she was having vision problems, but I did a good bit of testing and couldn't find any evidence of that. Her eyes did look reddish around the perimeter, like she'd been exposed to some sort of irritant, which she hasn't. We've had her isolated for days because this stupid med is a powder that's added to the drinking water. I hate those because there's no way to know how much medication they're getting.
Because I was afraid she might be having a negative reaction to the doxycycline, I dumped her drinking water and gave her a dish of water with only some NutriDrench in it and a little VetRx floated on top. She has seemed better today in that she seems to be back to where she was this time yesterday. I'm very worried about this and waiting to hear back from the vet.
