Hi from Texas!

We just bought a house and 5 hens and 1 rooster come with it. I was wondering if anyone could identify them for me so I could do some research before we move. I think I have a good idea, but I'd like to hear what y'all think.

Welcome to BYC, LaNeely!

Not sure about the rooster or the buff girl (from the picture, I am unable to tell what kind of comb she has, since it's certainly not a single), but with regards to the other hens, it looks like you have 2 Barred Rocks, a Speckled Sussex, and an Easter Egger. The experts will immediately be able to identify the other two. Lovely birds!

Up front, L to R, I see a Barred Rock, an Easter Egger, a Speckled Sussex, and a Cuckoo Marans. In back there is a Buff Orpington, and a Polish. The Polish is a rooster.

Welcome to BYC!

I think @junebuggena has them figured out. Nice looking flock! And congrats on your new home.

Thanks for joining us!

Thank you everybody for the comments and welcomes. I love it! I had it almost right, I just didn't know for sure about the orange one.

We negotiated to keep them on the side. I've been wanting chickens for a long time and it's finally coming true.

I don't yet know their ages. When we did the walk through of the house today and there were over a dozen eggs. At closing tomorrow I'll ask the previous owners.
