So since July I have given my Chickens Wazine, Interceptor (Milbamycin Oxime), and they have been receiving Rooster Booster in their food now for close to 3 weeks plus or minus a day or two. Originally they had Large Round and Cecal Worms. Cecal worms seem to have cleared, but I am still seeing these small white worms in the droppings of 1 girl. They get ACV and Garlic in their water, yogurt or cottage cheese almost daily. I have been giving them minimal kitchen scraps since starting RB. Is there anything else I should be doing? What kind of Devil Worms are these?!?! Thanks!!

Zimectrin Gold contains praziquantel, which will treat tapes, and that looks like what's in the droppings. If you go to the top of this page, and do a search, type in tapeworm, and look for posts by Dawg53. He has quite a few, and he usually recommends withholding feed, but not water, for 24 hours before treatment. Then he says to use a pea-size amount for each chicken given orally, and after 3 hours, gradually give them small amounts of food. After 10 days, repeat this procedure.

Did you pick up "Zimectrin" or "Zimectrin Gold" - there is a difference in the two and only the "Gold" will contain the appropriate chemical to address the tape worms.

My newest hen had them. I had treated my other 3 with Rooster Booster which they still get in their layer pellets, but I suspect she is not getting enough as they dominate and she is timid. Therefore she now has them! I have Panacur liquid, but was not clear on dosage amount.

If you want to treat for cecal worms with Safeguard the dose is 0.23ml per pound once and repeat in ten days. That single dose will treat cecal worms and large round worms. Capillary worms need that dose for 5 days in a row.

Math is - 0.23 x number of pounds = number of ml's (cc's), so a five pound hen is 5 x 0.23ml = 1.15ml, but 1ml is probably close enough.
