Ok so no luck with the thread last month. But here's a thread to begin the October eggies!!! Please join me yall!!!

I still have my ,now 8-was 10, OEGB eggs. I must've been way off on the start date. But also my broody,Wilson, is a part timer because she's also raising three chicks. I thought it was going to be my OEGB hen,Bella,setting. She lost interest. Idk what's going on except there are embryos in the eggs! I just keep checking on them several times a day. Might be an October hatch???? Will do another candle soon and try to get an idea of what stage of growth they're at. Will probably need some help with that one!!!

I am in! Mine are due to hatch October 2nd! Super excited, I have Blue Andalusians and Dark Cornish in the bator. We had 12 of each that came from a heritage breeder, but at the 7 day candling there were only 6 DC and 5BA others showed no sign that life even started. All the rest look like the healthiest babies I have ever candled. This is going to be the last hatch of the season for me.

Thanks! I designed that little sucker. I am trying to get Woot! to put it on a T-Shirt because they need a chicken T-Shirt! LOL Thanks for the welcome. I was on here about a year ago, but did not remember ANY of my info so started a new account. I need to keep up on here now that I am going to have the Blue Andalusians as my hobby breed. I want to breed to standard and show (no I am not a chicken snob, just love the breed.) and need info to even start doing that. Figured this was the best place to come of course.

I'm in! I just now set my second ever clutch in the Bator. My last hatch didn't go so well because I bought shipped eggs. So I'm happy to have 9 cute chicks in the brooder, but would like more laying hens by spring so I'm trying again with all local eggs. Due Date October 13th!

Here is what I have :
4 Salmon Faverolles
6 Gold Laced Wyandottes
6 Silver Laced Wyandotte
8 Rhode Island Reds (1/4th Jersey Giant for size)
Brinsea Octagon Eco 20 manual turning.

Pretty excited! Last time I kept the craziest charts. This time I think I'll just candle on proper days and mark the air sacks.
