Hi,
I am new to the forum but have been using the site for some time. Huge help in educating myself. I have about 30 laying hens, assorted breeds. Right now my RIR are laying, as are a couple of Cuckoo Marans, a pretty Austorlorp and an Easter Egger. I have a small young flock of Cream Crested Legbars that will be laying in the spring. I also have a group of 15 heritage turkeys and planning to grow that flock. I am looking forward to participating in the forum, and actually have some snaps of a young roo I need help identifying.

Cream Crested Legbars sound like a fun breed to raise and their eggs sure are pretty, you'll have to share pictures when they start laying. Have you seen the turkey forum, it would be a great place to ask questions about them:

Thanks for joining us, it's nice to have you here!

Thanks for the red-carpet welcome! No, I have not seen the turkey forum, but I will be looking for it now. I am excited about my cream crested legbars. They are really beautiful, but then, I say that about all chickens. I take that back. There is a breed, I don't remember the name, with a mostly bald neck. Not winning any beauty contests in my humble opinion.

Maybe you're talking about Naked Necks? They have some real fans here. Guess it's nice there's a breed for everyone!
