New Roo...What breed

Thread Starter

We just started our flock with gifts from friends, I know what breed all my hens are but my friend was not sure what breed the roo was that she dropped off. She bought him this spring, early summer.  He was bought from a feed store, so he is not a barnyard mix, but she is not sure of the breed. It doesn't really matter to me, but my 7 year old daughter is a chicken fanatic and wants to know in the worst way. she has scoured all her poultry guides to try to figure it out, but has come up at a loss.

Handsome red sex link rooster.

If you have red sex link hens and hatch out chicks, they won't still be sex-linked (where the sex is linked to the color), but they'll be pretty red and white birds  who still lay pretty darn well.

Red Sex-link.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
