My baby chicks came last Wednesday but we hadnt got the brooder made. But since we had just got a lawn mower we had a nice heavy duty box. This was their first home. Today i got a real wood one that is 4x4 built. Put the mamma hen in and their food and water and they seem to have transitioned nicely. Put in a few to many wood chips though...I have it under our porch pushed up against the chicken run so the hens and babies can become aquainted
