I'm good and like you so busy. still every weekend had eighteen hatch from Ravyn's eggs last weekend only thirteen lived haven't had time to take pictures and post them . hatching my own this weekend and Then more of Ravyns next weekend . good thing, the humidity has dropped and I hope for better hatches through fall and winter . I'm going to the sale barn in the morning with maybe twenty young Roosters . Ravyn and OH are selling too so I'll see her . should be fun I like hanging out with Ravyn and Jim . think I'll pop over and see how the estranged are doing .
Well good luck at the sale and say Hi to Ravyn in person for me! Looking forward to the pictures of the chicks when you get a chance.
I finally got a decent picture today of Jack Frost, my Russian Orloff Cockerel. He's changed a lot in the last month -
He's filling out nicely for 6 1/2 months old.
Wowsza!!! He is awesome!!!!
Jack is still pretty mellow, thank goodness, but definitely did NOT like my 3 year old grandson so I just carried him into the coop to get eggs while he was here for the Balloon Fiesta. Jack is much more laid back than my last cockerel, for sure. But he doesn't like strangers.
We're putting up the permanent run wall starting tomorrow so we'll be able to walk into the people side of the coop and collect eggs without having to walk through part of the run. Shoes will also stay much cleaner that way.
