I am now 8 years off from my Office Manager/Bookkeeper position for an Architecture firm up here in PA,
I think this field of work may get people a bit
"funny like"I actually miss my job big time, I cant wait to be in good health soon! Marketing and design was my fav part of my job!
Never got into duck hunting myself. #1, I'm a terrible wing shot; #2, I don't care for duck meat...had it once, in a restaurant...didn't like it. I do like me some deer hunting, though. Got 2 so far this year & haven't been off my own place yet.you know I used to deer hunt allot.
once I had kids, I changed my focus. We duck hunt more now.
I think duck hunting is better for the younger kids. first they get to ride in a boat. second they don't have to be quiet or very still. well they do, but only when birds are working the dekes. Plus they get to play with the dead birds and their feathers while we wait for more birds. They also loved as much as I do, watching a good duck dog work his magic on a cripple swimming and diving in the water.

Chooks!Smart woman.
I could deer hunt on our place, except we mostly just have does. we live in a buck only county, unless you have MDL. I enjoy duck, so long as I'm cooking it. lol treat them like backstrap from deer. that means proper blood letting and then sliced 1/2" thick, marinate, egg batter and fried. make a good gravy, whip up some mashed taters, throw in some biskets, and fresh green beans!! you should try sandhill crane, by far one of the best tasting birds there is. allot of my duck and goose meat goes to sausage tho. yes it's true, I make duck sausage!Never got into duck hunting myself. #1, I'm a terrible wing shot; #2, I don't care for duck meat...had it once, in a restaurant...didn't like it. I have 8 kids. 2 from my first marriage, who are grown and on their own. Each of them have given me one grandbaby each. My oldest son and his wife are pregnant with their second, a girl.Kids can do that to ya. How many do you have? I'm happy mine are grown and on their own. Focus back on ME! Oh, no... now the focus is on chickens.
I've lost most of my desire to deer hunt this year, not sure why... And we don't have good duck hunting around here. But now we are getting into trapping (coyote, fox, etc)... and I think its going to be a blast.
