Im new to this forum and wanted to introduce my chickens. I have 3 chickens that were from my sons school that we have had since they were 3 weeks old. They are now 4 months old. I also picked up an amercauna that is about 3 months old.

We dedicated a portion of our yard for the chickens and setup a coop from home depot. So far we love taking care of them and our kids have fun (actually I secretly am enjoying it more than them..haha) just watching them interact hang out.

We have a hunch that one might be a rooster and we are sad that we may have to give him away! The other 3 I believe are hens and we are looking forward to the fresh eggs!

The rooster looking one is lily, the brown one is olivia, the white/brown one is everleigh and the amercauna is gracie.

Looking forward to learning more from this forum!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! What lovely pics and it's great to read that you are enjoying keeping them. (Even secretly ;) ) They sure do have a way of finding there way into your heart. As for your potential rooster, I would say he IS a rooster. He is very beautiful, I sure hope you are able to find him a new home.

Wishing you the very best of luck in the future.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

Glad to hear you and the family are enjoying the chickens. Yep, Lily is a rooster. I hope you find a good home for him.

Thanks for joining us

Just got my Babies yesterday! Coop is built and I'm ready ~ this is my first journey into chickenland. Le Mesa just got "legal" about a year ago - excited!
