Sick chickens?

Hello,

I'm new to raising chickens, I've had my three since April.  I noticed last week that one of my Plymouth Rock's wattles were inflamed?  I don't want to say "swollen" because they were more oddly long rather than big. Her roo was also big and puffy. Her one eye was half shut, no discharge just shut. Other than her appearance she was fine, eating, drinking walking, and chirping.

Just to be safe I put her in quarantine for a few days, but after seeing that she was getting better rather than worse I decided to let her back in the coop with the other two.

She just started to lay eggs about two weeks ago and now she hasn't laid an egg since this weird episode. I thought that maybe she got stung by a bee or rolled in an ant pile but now my Orpington Buff has stopped laying eggs as well. Not sure if this is related or not but it sure is alarming.  Should I be concerned?

I see where her one eye looks a touch inflamed, other than that she looks like a beautiful healthy hen  with bright red healthy comb and wattles. Good to monitor is she and your BO  stopped laying. If they're active, eating and drinking, I'd just keep a close eye. Did she by chance find a secret spot to lay? It looks like this is your first post? This picture did not do the abnormally long wattles justice, but I'm happy to report she's still doing well and laid an egg this morning.  As far as the Buff goes she's still on egg strike.  I've searched the yard and saw no eggs. Maybe it has something to do with it getting darker sooner.

Thanks for your response!
