I got my girls on Sunday. I'm not sure of their breed or age. Any guesses?

They look like hatchery quality New Hampsires (sometimes called Production Reds) to me. I'd say they're around 18-20 weeks old.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

That's what I was thinking! I figured they are definitely hatchery birds because I got them at a slaughterhouse/egg facility place (notice their poor clipped and crooked beaks) but I kept going back and forth on what age they might be around. I put them on layer feed so I was hoping they aren't too young for it!

Agreed. They're at least 18 weeks, and probably Production Reds. No, they're not too young for layer feed. Hopefully they'll be laying within the next few weeks. smile.png

I  agree also.  Thank you for giving them a good home.
