Pullet or cockerel?? Help!!

UPDATE! Okay one more week under our belts and I am becoming less convinced that this is a cockerel like I once thought. The tail feathers seem to be coming in even rounder and there are no alarming wattles developing. This chick is a little over 2.5 months old. What do you guys think?

It's too young yet for male feathering. Male specific feathering isn't really very visible until about 12 weeks or so. Until then, this one could be either male or female. Do you know what the parents were for sure?

I did not know that about the feathering!! They are actually right at 12 weeks now (hatched about July 13th)... I said 2 and half months meaning calendar months but I guess 12 weeks is more accurate :) I do NOT know what the parents were for sure.

I'm going to say pullet, judging by the size of the comb and wattles. But I do see your problem here. For it's age, it does seem quite large, but that may be the Australorp coming through; they're a large breed and both the males and females can get quite big. Very nice bird by the looks of it too.
