Shinto Dragon Jumbo Coturnix Project

I've still got my birds but I'm listening to all the advice from members of this forum. The size of the birds hatching from my JMF stock is already perfect. I keep my birds on a GQF wire cage and the birds are already so big that I have to modify the cages so that they can stick their heads out through the wire for food and water.

To select for even larger birds would be unwise because the largest of my current birds are already losing feathers on the top of their heads from hitting the top of the cage. The larger birds also have a greater chance of getting bumblefoot.

I still have some of my original JMF birds along with a batch of their offspring and I can't keep up with eating all their eggs.

My timing is horrible. I am in La Mesa and would love to get some JMF eggs from you to hatch, but I am moving out of state at the end of the month. I will have to wait a bit for JMF stock.
