Tell us about your screen name/or ?

My name is derived from the sound(s) I made every time I went downstairs for the first eight weeks of my chicken-obsession. All the chicks would wake up and talk back to me. Let us out, take us out! Me! Take me outside! Haha, I still make those sounds. The next batch of peepers are in the garage ( no more chicken dust on my toothbrush, ick!). They are very loud and bossy, this group.

lazy gardener- I like to bury my face in my cat's tummy while she sleeps. Her tummy and paw pads sweat while she sleeps and she smells like- well, sleeping cat.

I love the way new chicks smell, too. Sort of like how people like 'new car' smell. Well... if they are clean, and not poopy.

@Cheep N Peepnice;). Don't you love how they learn our 'chicken calls'. I use one when I am coming to let them out to free range, and II find them waiting at the door, and I can sing out chickens in the coop chickens in the coop, and they will head in though sometimes there is one reluctant hen. I often find the ones inthe second chicken tractor behind the barn in by the time II get done with the ones in the back yard and head to them. What 'calls' do yours answer?

My chicks know 'here' (not the word but a sound, the sound they use to call each other) and will follow me,
My hens know 'here chick chick CHICKEN' in people speak, and I make a 'treat' noise by clicking my tongue. And I make a sort of grumble-y noise when I'm mocking them, you know, 'cause their angry about something. Ha, they hate it when I do that!
