Is something wrong with my WH drake?

At the beginning of June, I could not tell my two WH drakes apart.  The one in the crate had to leave us for another home...let's just say they were a little to randy to have 2 drakes with our 6 girls.  But, it's the best pic I have of what they looked like up close.  The second pic, the one on the grass, is the one that remained.  He started losing his coloring in June.  I assumed he was molting, but it can't be going on this long, can it? Is there something wrong with him? Everyone else in the WH flock seems just fine...we have a second "flock" that kind of keep to themselves (they all swim, bed, and eat together, 1 Khaki drake, Roeun female, Pekin female) and no issues there either. He is not acting like anything is wrong.

Not sure why it won't load this picture, too...

How long do they typically molt for?

Seems like my Runners take nearly a month to shed and regrow feathers.  Gosh, I am not entirely sure, as I have not written down the dates. I ought to do that next time.  How's things today?

He still looks the same. It's probably been almost 3 months. I didn't really pay attention to the date in the beginning because I thought it was just him doing a regular molt. I swear it looks like he is turning into a girl!

That sounds fairly normal to me. I looked back through my duck pics and my mallard boys looked pretty girly by the beginning of June and they are getting back to their regular male coloring now. Every year in late spring they molt into eclipse plumage and then in the fall they get their pretty coloring back.

Momma to 8 ducks - Rocky, Dexter (male mallards);  Ruby Sue (female mallard); Tony (male buff); Roxy (female fawn and white runner); Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose (female Welsh Harlequins); and 2 kitties, Maggie and Fuffy-cat.

RIP Bullwinkle and Turkey-duck :(
