Anybody ever seen anything like this? Khoshekh, the guinea with a feather ridge

Ive seen somthing similar in peafowl, when they dont preen themselves the build up from new feathers coming in can distort the feathers and give weird shapes. I learned that taking a wire brush and cleaning the skin and stuff out helps or give him a bath.
