Will egg color always be consistant? - Page 2

My girls all seem consistent in color and size. My girls are around 8 months old now. Shade and she'll texture differ from day to day. I have one girl, a Rhode Island Red that gives wrinkled she'll eggs consistently. Lady will lay for 5 days and take a day off. The rest are drop 4 to 5 days a week but with no schedule.

My young sex links lay a darker egg like the one in the above photo 2nd from the left or darker, my 1 and 2 year old hens have a mix of colors mostly lighter like the 2 lighter ones in the picture these are a mix of breeds, br, nh, lb, db, Cochin, ba, we, slw. I thought they were all darker when they were young too but I can not recall for sure

I ended up finding out who laid what egg and even becoming familiar with each one :) I found mine to be pretty consistent once they were laying often enough. Size changed from day to day, but color (and designs) seemed to stay the same for mine. Like my Darth Vader laying me freckled eggs.

[M]ocha, my brown bearded EE, with a more dull blue-ish green that tends to have a brownish hue when wet or cold.
[M]in[k], my white bearded EE, with the more brighter and cleaner blue egg.
[C]reeper, my Barred Rock, with the large longish light brown egg.
[J]ee[p]ers, my Barred Rock, with a large longish dark brown egg that has a tendency to have freckles.
[J]ailbreaker, my Rhode Island Red, with a large (though not as large as BR) rounded bottom dark brown egg.
[D]arth [V]ader, my black Australorp, with a large rounded bottom medium brown egg.
[C]hip[m]unk, my EE, with a small rounded light brown egg.
[H]yrule, my Buff, with a small rounded creme egg.

Overall makes for some pretty but simple colors.
