My 19 week roo has started to have his ear lobes turn white. It feels like normal flesh without texture to it. He has also started having a comb flop and just recently lost his longest tail feathers. Seems to act normal and is still top roo. Is this something to worry about or just some of the changes he is going through growing up?

That white tinge to the earlobes is actually pretty common in birds that are mixed breeds, which your cockerel is. Both my Easter Egger girls have earlobes like that. It's caused by some white ear-lobed breed in the mix.

The guy we got him from told us he was a black copper maran. Of course he also told us he was a pullet. Lol. Glad to "hear" about the ear lobes. One less worry. Any ideas on the floppy comb?
