Male or Female?

I'm guessing this is a male.  They said it was about 4 months old, looks like a rhode island red.

Thanks,

Anne

Those tail feathers make quite a statement! Roo

It's definitely a cockerel, and with those long tail feathers I'm thinking it's a game mix.

I agree it's male, and red colored, but it's not a Rhode Island Red. I'm with Michael, it looks to have some game influence.

Definitely a rooster, mixed breed or hatchery quality Buckeye.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay. --Robert Frost
