Hello Fellow Poultry Lovers,

It's that time of year here in Northern New Jersey to start planing coop winterizing. I have everything figured out. I just have one question. I'm putting Husky 10 ft. x 25 ft. Clear 3.5 mil Polyethylene Sheeting on the run to keep the wind out. My question is how many inches of space should I leave open to keep proper air circulation in their run? Also, should the gap be on the top or bottom of the run?

Thank You,
~Matthew

I had a 6-8 inch gap all around the top of my 8'x12' covered run. Open at top means no icy air blowing in at bird level. The 6 or so inches was enough ventilation but was still protected enough by the eaves that snow didn't blow in too much (except during last year's blizzards).
