Anyone have a flock of Swedish ducks? I would love to add ducks to my farm, and I think Swedish are just beautiful! Looking for input on where to get quality ducklings or hatching eggs, and pictures of anyone else's flock!

The darkest six are Blue Swedish

Here they are as teens

And grown up

The 2 brown and 2 white are hybrid layers

All these ducks came from Metzer Farms. I couldn't be happier with the supplier.

I love the Blue Swedish. They are calm and fun ducks.

Thank you for posting! I'm a little nervous about ordering from large hatcheries ever since I had a less than perfect experience... I ordered silkies for my daughter for her birthday, they ended up being quite scraggly and nothing like the sweet pouf balls she had imagined! Regardless we found a local breeder and now have 4 silkies... 2 hideous and 2 beautiful...lol! However your Swedish ducks are lovely and handsome. Maybe I'll give it a go with Metzer's!

I have 2 Swedish males and 4 females. The males are bigger and quieter. The offspring will be 1/2 blue, 1/4 black, and 1/4 silver. They are supposed to be a dual purpose breed.

I just ordered 10 giant pekins from Metzer's and they sent 11. All of them are doing great. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the birds and customer service I have received. They have ducks year round unlike many places. Go on their website and read about the different ducks. Good luck!

I placed an order with Metzer's! Our 4 Swedish ducks will be shipped March 14th! So excited.

Good luck with your Swedish ducks. I love my Swedish ducks they have a good personality. They don't lay tons of eggs but they lay a large high quality egg. This weekend they had their first real snowfall.

Love love love my swedish ducks. :) I would love to have more. They're chunky goofy little gluttons. They were poo machines till they fledged. Cleaning their bedding required daily hosing out and all new every night but now at full grown they are pretty easy on cleaning. They dug a nest in the hay under the chicken coop and don't seem to poo there.
