Is Too Large a Fan an Issue?

So, I had Gene come pick his chicks up today. Left the hatcher plugged in, figured to move the next batch of eggs (due on Friday/Saturday) to it tonight. Well, this afternoon, I heard cheeping

.

Uh, not supposed to be any chicks in the house right now.....checked the incubator and sure enough, one of the eggs in the turner on the middle shelf had hatched! Poor baby was down on the floor of the incubator, dry as could be, just hanging out all lonely. I'm so glad it didn't get stuck in the turner or get hurt when it tumbled down to the ground....poor thing. This is the batch of Wyandottes the seller had left under her broody "to keep them warm" for me, so apparently this little one had started developing early. Well, I moved all the good eggs to the hatcher asap. No pips yet, but that sure got my blood pumping. I'm leaving it in the hatcher for a day or so to "encourage" the others to come out and play
