Hello everyone, so glad to be a part of BYC :)

We are a small family raising our girls with much love and attention. I think our favorite chickens are Easter Eggers, love their own individual personalities, Silkies and well actually just about any chicken that comes into my yard is my favorite :D

I am a stay at home mom of 2 teenage boys, a husband of 18 yrs, a rabbit who is queen of her hutch and a mix breed dog who is deaf and full of life, so we are a mighty fine bunch to be around!

I have used BYC for all my learning and needing information on keeping my girls healthy and happy, our flock actually started out as an upcycle project, we made their hen house out of recycled materials, pallets, free windows or pay very little for the windows and we reused a shed that got flipped over in a tornado. Then we rescued our first hens and well as the story goes you can't have just one hen!!

Glad you joined us!. Sounds like you have a lovely family. I'm the same as you, I have my favorite breeds and such, but every bird has its own personality and you just gotta love them all! The saying "Chickens are like potato chips, you can't have just one!" remains forever true, that's for sure. Remember, don't be shy to ask questions!

Hi, welcome to BYC!

It sounds as though you may be at risk for chicken math...the temptation to add more is a hard one to resist, lol. Good job on "upcycling" your shed into a coop.

It's nice to have you here!

Thank you again, you guys are great!
Yes we just love our Easter Eggers, we hope to add more to our flock, if we can find them locally :)
And thank you for the link to KY Peeps :)
