I have my new five month old OEGB banty's, who squat for their little rooster. They have been doing that since I got them. Also, during the day they sing their egg song out in the woods. They haven't laid an egg in the nest boxes yet. So either they aren't laying yet, or they are laying them in the woods. But do they let the rooster do his thing if they aren't laying yet?
Anyway, I have about a three month old rooster. He doesn't crow, but his comb is really red. He is barn yard mix. He tries to mate everything, and last night my little spangled OEGB let him. So If she is laying eggs, would a rooster that young be able to fertilize her eggs?
