Injured Duck Leg

I let my ducks out this morning around 5:30am. Well, as normal they roam all day until we get home. My boyfriend who got home right around 5:00pm checked on them and noticed Pepper, my Khaki Campbell was limping. Both my ducks are healthy and happy. No problems ever. I get home and she is holding her leg up. Well right away I go get her as calmly as possible. We examine her little leg and don't see signs of anything stuck in her foot. I have her soaking in a luke warm bath right now. I did not have any epsom salt but I got her off her feet at least. I will try and take a photo after her bath if I can. What else can I do to help her heel up? I don't wanna lose my baby and I need to take action immediately before it gets because I don't think my local vet cares for ducks. (She is still in good spirits and is acting like her normal self)

Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

She may have sprained her leg.  That takes several days to heal up, and the warm bath is a great idea.

Epsom salt compresses or shallow bucket - just keep her from drinking it, it is a laxative.  Those are good once or twice a day if you can swing it.

And I like to use ointment with arnica, comfrey and St. John's wort.  A brand I use is T-Relief, just a tiny dab rubbed into the leg.  Or, if you have comfrey growing there, just make a tea, cool it off, and use that as a compress.

I am a person who gets nervous with ducks not being in a secure pen especially when people are not around.  I know you care very  much about them, and I don't want you heartbroken if something happens.  So I want to say that without a safe place, they are at risk.

They are in a fenced in backyard. No predators have gotten in. She was walking a lot better this morning. As soon as I get home I'm going to bathe her again. Thank you for your suggestions.
