So I know that after the hatch the vessels can be on the vent still, both my chi KS have a little thread looking piece on their bottoms
I believe both are pooping so far and they also are eating and drinking already 24 hours after their hatch!

Congrats on your hatch! I have this happen occasionally when the "umbilical" seems to want to stay attached to the chick. In my experience the little thread dries up and falls off in a few days with no damage to the chick.

Thanks for the response! I checked this ml owning and the vessel fell off. Pasty butt seems to be an issue now. I cleaned their vents with qtip and warm water and added electrolyte solution to their water. These chicKS are braver than my first they run up.to me lol
