She was born with a bum eye, but she is a good hen. I just don't hatch out her eggs.
Then we have "Turkey"
She has a cluck that sounds just like a turkey.....she's fooled a few hunters including DH
King Tut has his own harem. He owns and patrols the front portion of our property. He does not allow the other roosters to come into his domain.
Here is "Bunny". She is a hopper.
One night this past winter "Popsicle" hid in a bush and did not make it to the coop. It poured down snow and freezing rain that night. Here he is the next morning:
We also have crazy names for our rabbits....Here is "Pig".
Most names here are earned. It doesn't bother me to butcher them though. They all look the same in a freezer bag. May sound harsh to some, but this is the way our farm is ran. That being said, I have quite a few roosters that have needed been moochers and I am dragging my feet about processing them.
