A Friend's Peafowl Died - Why?

Thread Starter

We don't know much about the bird right now other than I think it was one of this year's chicks. Anyways, this is my Dad's friends bird that died and I have this one picture to go on that his wife sent us:

Does anyone know what the yellowish stuff is? Since they took a picture of that in particular I figure it was something odd.

Is it just maggots?

I can call him later today and ask more specific questions. I just wanted to see if anyone knows what is going on in this picture.

8 peafowl: 1 India Blue, 1 blackshoulder, 1 pied, 2 split (pied or white), 2 whites, 1 Indo-Chinese Green.

Proud to be Native American and happy to have wonderful family & friends.
