Neem Oil Trap???

The reason I asked is that somewhere I read about a study that was done. They used cardboard neem traps and had about a 90% success rate.

Another thought...... I just purchased a Propane Insect Fogger to mist my bee hives. A Youtube video used this with Mineral Oil, and Wintergreen Essential Oil, to kill varroa mites. I was wondering if I completely cleaned out the coop of everything and then misted it, would it kill the mites? Is Wintergreen a good oil to use?

I'm at my wits end. There's NO WAY I can dust 50 free range chickens and guineas. I can't wait until it's cold enough to burn the fireplace to get the ashes. I'll be making a huge dust bath hole. sigh

Birds have very sensitive respiratory systems...I don't think misting the coop with essential oils would be a good idea.

Again lice live on the birds, not in the coop like mites do.....and now not sure what your chickens have.

Don't gotta wait til winter to have a fire, just put some wood in a pile on the ground, light it up ... Once it settles down to coals ... Get you some hot dogs, or marshmallows ... In the morning you got ashes!

Hahaha...... I had to do a double take on where you live Chill'in.

Ahhhh...... It'll be awhile before I can find a dry weenie stick.

Juggler, I'm a little lost. When I reach for eggs, I have teeny-tiny gray specks on my arms. Yet, I've seen the red ones on my white 5 gallon buckets. When I squish them they leave a glob of red.

I've had chickens for as long as I can remember and this is a "First" for me. It's even getting hard to sleep at night just thinking about them.
Do the rest of you scratch just at the thought of bugs?

My user name is actually 123RedBeard ... Chilli'in is just the forums way of recognizing my post count ... ;)

Where do you live?

Actually AZ is very varied ... I actually live in the high desert grass lands ...

But we have trees too within 50 miles ...

Oooooop's........ Sorry about that "RedBeard." I'm new to this forum thing'ie.

WOW, that's some beautiful Cowboy Country! I've never made it that far West. AWESOME.
I live in Southeastern OH, along the Ohio River. On a map, it's what they call the "Boot."

It's been raining here pretty much nonstop. I sure pity those poor people in the East.

BTW, Kewl Dogs!

That's OK ... Your "Just Hatched" ... ;)

I'm not actually sure how or when that title gets changed ... Either from post count, or time registered???

Some people actually have some kinda custom title like aart has ... Not sure how that works either ...

I'm on my way up to Findlay now ... I'm a truck driver ...
