All,
I ordered three buff orpingtons. I believe I have two. What do you all think this buffed colored one with the white markings is? My buffs are below. The girl in question is the one in the nesting boxes with the barred rocks.

This red one looks like a red sexlink pullet. They look very similar to Buff Orpingtons as chicks.

. I think you'll be pretty happy with her despite getting the wrong breed. As Michael said, they're laying machines and overall pretty nice backyard birds. And the bonus is, she's definitely a she! she may quite possibly be your first layer, I've had red sex links start laying as soon as 16 weeks, kinda freaked me out.
