I posted in the breed/gender forum about my young cockerel. The general consensus seems to be that he is in fact purebred SPR and not a Barnie/SPR mix like I thought. Is there anyone here who has the knowledge and experience to tell me if he's good quality and if not, what his faults are? I'm considering trying to find some SPR pullets or hatching eggs in the spring and it would be extremely helpful if I had an idea of where to start. :) FYI, he's 20 weeks old in these pics, weighs around 5lbs and is bigger than my 2 Barnie cockerels who are both several weeks older. Thank you in advance!

I know nothing about breeding and Standard Plymouth Rocks, but do have access to a standard of perfection for poultry. Looking at the standard picture/drawing it looks like hes on the right path for 4 months or so, Leg and beak look fine, could use some silver on his base of neck, around where his neck meets his back. Its supposed to so from saddle and join the neck feathers.

Eyes should be a "Reddish-Bay"
Beak and legs a bright yellow, as they seem! Beautiful :D
And his overall colour seems fine besides that little spot of black around the neck area i already mentioned, Good luck with this gorgeous boy!
