Is one of these barred a male?

It is possible for there to be some variation among pullets when it comes to how light or dark they are, but your little boy is way too light to be 'light' pullet. He just has way more white than a pullet ever will. That and his come is already starting to turn red. Pullets do not start turn red in the comb until after 14 weeks old.

Here is an example of a 'lighter' pullet and really dark pullet at about 10 weeks old.

It is DEFINITELY a cockerel based on comb size alone and he has cockerel-style barring. Hatcheries sexing rates are usually around 90-95%, so it is fairly common to get missexed cockerels. :(

This location wasn't a hatchery but a grower buying from a hatchery. She said she received 3 males in the batch if I remember right, but she said she's sure they were females she gave me or she would fly me a female. I bought them at 3+ months old.
