Good morning! I'm new to BYC and am excited to be here. I've had peafoul for about 4 years. One of our hens had two chicks, but they were eaten by a coyote last year. Our other hen has laid eggs but has never hatched; they were not fertile (I broke them open after several weeks) ....and then one day she shows up on our back patio with a chick! We were so surprised and excited! It's been about 3 months, but we can't tell the gender of the youngster, Peepers. We enjoy watching our peafoul....they add something special to our little farm.
Is Peepers male or female? Here's a couple pics. Thanks!

Welcome to BYC! The barring on the shoulder indicates a young male.
