I need help understanding where to ask my question about introducing Hens. I have one. She is one year old. I have 9 babies. I know you are supposed to separate them once they are old enough to be in the hen house. Then let them free range during the day together for a while and then place the one hen into the new flock in the night when they are going to sleep. I would like to do more if I can to increase the chances of an easy transition which I suppose will occur sometime in the spring. Can I place my single hen in the bathtub with the babies? For a few minutes each day totally supervised? To me a human it seems like this would create an early acceptance on the babies part. Not so sure about my single hen accepting them.
