I've read somewhere here on BYC that your ladder should be twice as long as the height. So if your roosts are 3 ft high, your ladder should be 6 ft long. Watch and see if your chickens have trouble climbing the ladder. You may have to adjust it a bit.

I noticed the ramp too....

...another thing you can do it raise the lower end of ramp up onto a concrete block set the tall way.
They have no trouble jumping that high and the resulting lesser angle of ramp will make walking it much easier on them
