What do we think now?

Here she is today 17.5 weeks old!! I think this one is a pullet and not a cockerel!! She did a mini molt these last few weeks and dropped all her black tail feathers and here he/she is now. What do we think?

Yep, she's a pullet. Five weeks can make a lot of difference in assessing gender and this is one of those rare cases where the extra weeks are needed for an accurate assessment.
 
KHoward what are you seeing that makes you think rooster? He/she has not crowed or strutted or anything remotely roostery yet. I guess time will tell
 
At first I was thinking it was the hackles, but at almost 18 weeks, I think that everyone else is right - it's a pullet.
