What the heck? I'm starting to guess that between the hot weather and I'm not sure what else could be wrong.
They eat an organic layer feed, there is usually oyster shell available although sometimes they knock it down and spill it so they are out till we get it back up again, they have water that is changed out every few days,
I don't know if I should be worried about some infection or disease or just let it go as a weird occasional occurrence.
I do get the occasional cracked egg or sandpaper egg and sometimes there are tons of sandpaper bumps on the pointy end of the egg.
Other than that, life is good and I love my chickens and encourage everybody and anybody to get them!!
