Do baby chicks Sleep alot as well as lay down to sleep periodically or are they sick

Just like babies. Chicks sleep a lot. They get tired and just flop down wherever they're standing. If with a hen, they sleep under her.

Yep,, kinda amusing too. One minute they will be running around flapping little wings and then,, BAM,, like out of nowhere an irresistable urge to sleep comes over them and they will stand still for a second or two and then,, Flop,, lights out,,,,, until someone else runs over top of them,,

3 week old Barred Rock chick fell asleep while eating. They will pass out randomly. It's normal.

Ya that's what I've noticed thanks everybody how can you tell if one is sick?

Crowing
Sick chicks will usually be hunched up, away from the rest of the chicks. They won't show much interest in eating or drinking. They are noticeably less active than the other chicks. They may spend most of their time under the heat source. Other signs may be labored breathing, discharge from the mouth or nose, or blood in the poo.
After you've raised a few batches of chicks, it's easier to spot when one isn't quite right.
