Is this a female or male? Or is it to early to tell. Not sure of age, was gave to me about a month ago. It's still small, but has grown double in size in a month

Is this a female or male? Or is it to early to tell. Not sure of age, was gave to me about a month ago. It's still small, but has grown double in size in a month
It appears to have mature feathers.If there is a light lower edge on the breast feathers it is a hen. If the breast feathers do not have a light colored lower edge it is a tom. Since I can't see its breast feathers, I cannot tell which it is.
I don't see any feathers on the back of it's neck and head so I'm thinking it's a Tom from this perspective.
