ARIZONA - Cayuga and Indian Runner Duck need home

We have two ducks in need of a home. The Cayuga is a drake and the Indian Runner is female. They are a year old, we got them as ducklings in Sept of 2014. They are a little skittish and would likely do better with other ducks. Reason for needing a new home, we only have one female to our drake and he tries to mate with our chickens and has hurt them. We cannot get more female ducks for him and we also think they would do better with someone else. The drake will eat from your hand if you gain his trust. The female lays nice white to palish grey or palish green eggs. She hasn't laid in a few days, she may be starting a molt. Also, the Cayuga does not have his feathers clipped, but he has never tried to fly away from us.
They are free to someone who can give them a good home. We just don't have the time or resources or the right home for them. Would prefer you to pick them up. Transportation (cage or etc) can be discussed. We are located in the Phx Metro area of AZ. They must also go together since they've been bonded since the day we first brought them home as babies.

We might be willing to take them, we are in San Diego and its an easy day trip. Some questions though:

1. What is your timeframe? I have just finished up the pond (in the duck thread if your interested) but the coop is still a couple of weeks from being done. I could not take them until they had a secure home at night.

2. How friendly are they? I am getting these for my daughter (and me) and I want to make sure they are friendlyish.

I can PM you my phone number if you are interested and want to talk more. Imprinting issues notwithstanding, I would much rather help some ducks than have new ones.

We would be willing to wait the few weeks for you to finish the coop if you would like to have them. They are not necessarily friendly, but they aren't bad or anything. We raised them from babies but when they were old enough to go outside, we let them free range along side some chicken friends. They're not cuddly nor will they come up to you and act like they love you, they run from us but will sometimes eat from our hand. They are more of free range birds. I would assume they'd be even more skittish around new people in a new environment. If you are still interested however, please do let me know! Thanks!!
