Well we were out of town came home today found one of my golden sexlinks had a wound on the back of her neck almost looks like a human bite. Which makes no since, so i have no clue as to if an animal caused it or if it was caused my my husband trailer falling while we were gone (how that happened i dont know either) so we going to watch the hens and make sure they are up at night outside of that i dont know. She eating and drinking and acting normal the wound is scabbed over so thats good.
 
Sometimes they can get their head stuck in things as they are foraging. Maybe there was something sharp about and as it pulled back it cut itself. Also, it might have got lucky and escaped a predator.
 
She all better now still a small wound thats closing but nothing near the size it was. Her feathers on her neck are still messy lol but at least she ok otherwise and never had a predator show up again. We did just have a hen that got taken by a feral cat but outside of that no other predators have shown up that was a few days ago. Since my cats have stayed close to the hens and wont leave them unattended so the other cat hasnt come back or if it has they scared it off.
