hello everyone. I've got a pair of patridge silkie of exactly 7months now. This morning i saw them mating. Does this mean that the hen will start laying in the coming days? Advise please

Mating doesn't necessarily indicate point of lay. Roosters will chase down 2 month olds if they're nasty enough. But, if she seemed very receptive, then she is probably getting close. Silkies usually begin to lay around 7-8 months old.

In fact the hen just stopped before the rooster and just like you know kneel down or squat i don't know how to say that.. Then the rooster got over her. Most probably the first time... So that means she's ready to lay right... I'm so impatiently waiting for the first egg :/
