black copper maran and light sussex chickens male or female?

Can anyone help me please? Read lots of conflicting information. Each is completely different but no idea which are female and male. One maran has a tuft on head and mainly dark. One Sussex has tail pointing down and other up. Can anyone help please?

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Based on what I can see, they all look like pullets. However it's difficult to be certain with those high overhead shots through the hardware cloth and the second picture is somewhat blurry as well. I would recommend taking some good profile pics of them without the wire in the way and posting them in our What Breed or Gender is This? section and letting our experts there take a look at them for you. I agree with Michael. If we can get better profile and comb shots it would be a lot easier to tell you for certain. It also helps if we know how old they are.
