Something ate my baby chicken! ;(

Hey guys!
Something ate my baby chicken and I am not sure what it is,
It only ate the head and left the body. I would sometimes see magpies and magpies trying to swoop the baby chicks but I would always Sho them away. I'm not sure what it is that ate it, what do you think?

Was your bird outside? In a pen? Can you find any noticeable gaps in the fencing structure? Do you have many birds of prey in large populations nearby? Was this your only chick? I'm sorry for your loss, but it's time to get over it and help protect the rest of your flock from further harm. Up security, add game cams, sprinklers, flashing lights, even trap as a last resort. Your chickens must stay safe. Oh, and owls, Hawks, Falcons, kestrels, etc. usually leave the body and eat the head, especially owls. You can cross fishing line over the coop, when birds run into it they become confused and fly off. You can hang shiny discs and pie pans as well to help deter them. If you ever see any birds of prey, flush them. Disturbing, hurting, or killing of birds of prey is illegal, so be careful. Good luck!
