So these are the eggs I've been getting every day
400

They are EE, EE, black copper maran, splash maran, and salmon faverolles
And today I got these
400

Does anyone know who layed them? The options are black laced red Wyandotte, EE, or salmon faverolles.
I just really like knowing who lays which egg! And this leaves only one hen left to start laying, I'm super excited.
 
I have eggs like the bottom two that come from either black copper marans, gold laced wyandottes, or golden cuckoo marans, but the golden cuckoo marans lay eggs like the dark one in the center of your first photo- sometimes with darker speckles. Maybe that helps? My guess for the first egg in the bottom photo would be Wyandotte. Mine look like that sometimes.

I would have to agree. Our GCs lay eggs that look like both of the two mentioned above from time to time. Usually more of the darker ones like on the right but occasionally the pigment is more pinky and chalky looking like the one on the left.
 
someone told me the color of their legs are the color of the eggs. any truth to that? ALSO have been told the round eggs are hens and the pointier ones are roosters.. any truth to that? lastly.. all of my hens have orange eyes.. i have one that has totally black eyes.. is this a special breed or something?

I have heard some people think that or the ears reflect what color they will lay, but I think its best to go by what that breed usually lays. In some cases, that can differ per bird too, but that is the most concrete. I have heard too many people argue over the validity of those signs so I would not go by them. As far as the eyes, I think per breed that can differ but I do not know for sure. I do feel that is a bit creepy though haha. As far as round and pointy eggs, only hens lay eggs not roosters, and every bird lays distinct shape of egg. From what i have seen and heard, that is one of the ways to tell which bird layed which egg. The shape should be consistent every time your girls lay. Pigment can differ, but shape should be relatively the same. Hope that helps, I am by no means an expert on any of this, but I thought since no one else had responded yet, I would try my best.

And I think that @cheryl1065 meant that the round eggs hatch out to be hens and the pointy eggs hatch to be roosters LOL. But there can't be any truth to that can there? because not all eggs are fertilized.

Yeah i would not take that as truth either. I think both I and ChickenKeeper meant that regardless of breed, sometimes you get different eggs from your girls, you just never know, plus some chickens will differ from what is expected from their breed a bit. If you have a brown egg layer then its probably doing what our GCs do.
 
Ahh okay. I thought maybe it could be my Easter egger since it's a pinkish color, but maybe not. Guess I will just have to wait and see

I would say whoever laid that egg is typically a brown layer due to the base color of the pigment. My brown layers do that sometimes. Our EE who just started laying couple weeks ago gives us light creamy pink eggs oddly enough. Like the bottom one here. The top one was a GC egg and the middle was a weird one from the EE midweek of week two.....but normal again ever since......they do funny things I am learning haha.
